Our Story
On the 31st October 2020 we both bravely journeyed into Glasgow to meet each other for the first time after spending a few weeks chatting on line. We both headed towards George Square where we laid eyes on each other for the very first time. Following a few dates that involved a lot of COVID restrictions, we sadly had to spend some time dating virtually due to new COVID lock down conditions. Our Friday night date nights consisted of a WhatsApp video call, having dinner together or watching a movie.
For Emma this proved a little more difficult as she was left to watch it through her video on her phone whilst Craig lapped it up with the big TV in his room! After a long 9 weeks the restrictions were finally lifted enough for Emma to travel to see Craig. Again things were not quite like your average dating experiences. Afternoons were spent in Craig’s mum and dad’s garden, or in the garage if it got a little bit cold. Walks around Bearsden and Milngavie became the normal date like experiences, however throughout this time Emma and Craig’s love for each other continued to grow.
Eventually Craig and Emma began to experience more couple things to do and enjoyed their first dinner out together 6 months into their relationship and their first cinema date after 9 months of dating. They also began to enjoy some holidays together and Craig seized the opportunity to take Emma to Arran. He was keen to share with her a place that had been a big part of many family memories as he grew up.
Eventually in April 2022 Craig and Emma moved out from their parents homes into their first flat together in Anniesland. In February 2023, whilst on holiday in Arran, Craig persuaded Emma to go on a walk up to one of their favourite locations in Sannox. At the top of a beautiful waterfall Craig asked Emma to turn her back in order for him to take a photo. When she turned around again Craig was down on one knee holding out a ring. He asked Emma to marry him to which she happily said yes.
As they say the rest is history.
Outside of work he enjoys meeting friends and socializing. He also enjoys creating and writing his own music, and has recently completed his second album.
In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and spending time going out walking and finding nice places to stop and have a coffee.
